Why do you do free websites?
There are a number of small businesses, clubs, and entreprenuers that do not have the upfront funds to pay for a website developer to design and build a full website for them. We have put together a solution that saves them a lot of money as they can add their own content and images instead of hiring someone else to do it.
Are there any hidden costs?
There are no hidden fees or costs.
As mentioned in out how it works section, all you will need to do is pay for hosting of your website. Stage 1 Digital provideds business grade website hosting with daily backups, security updates, framework updates and monthly reporting. The cost for this is AUS $80 +GST / month. Less than a lot of businesses pay for their phones or even internet access.
How do I know it is legitimate?
Stage 1 Digital is a division of Trapdoor Media, a fully fledged web design company that has been running for over 8 years. We have wanted to find a solution for small businesses that can not afford a complete web build from our development team and so have devised this solution for those entities.
I want a website but don't want to sign up for hosting.
To have a website online, you have to pay for web hosting.
It is just like wanting to build a house you have to have somewhere to build it, a block of land. You are charged land rates by the government. Hosting works in a similar way, you are paying rates for your spot on the internet.

Do I need to have a domain name already?
If you already have one, we can work with that. If you haven’t got one as yet, not a problem! We can help you to get one.
What if I don't want the website any more?
You are not locked in to any contract with Stage 1 Digital. If at any time you wish to cancel your subscription, just give us 30 day notice and we will do a finial backup your site and close down your service.
